I traveled to my Alabama hometown this week to visit my Mother, who is in the hospital. I haven’t had a lot of time to get out and use my camera, but I did capture a couple of landmarks with my iPhone.
The first image is of the Cherokee County Court House.
The second image is of the 1st United Methodist Church. It sits one block west of the courthouse and has been there for as far back as I can remember.
The final image is of the Weiss Lake Lodge. It hasn’t been there more than 4 or 5 years, but has certainly become a local landmark due to the large fish statues that decorate the lawn. Cherokee County is home to Weiss Lake, which is known to be the Crappie Capital of the World.
